To Izzy, the declaration had come out of nowhere. It seems his crew members thought the same, faces exasperated yet somehow endearing at the same time. Luffy laughs, ignoring Nami's commentary, looking up at her with bright eyes like the decision has already been made. His eyes are not the only bright things about him.
Staring at him, with the straw hat perched on his head and the setting sun slumbering behind him, his light is like a beacon, a calling, a demand. His eyes burn with a promise as he stands tall, shorter than her but with ambition so high it almost seems unreachable. And yet, as she studies him, it's almost as if it's already almost in his grasp - like she can almost believe he can do it. He shines like the raging fire in her belly, blinding and dangerous yet beyond mesmerizingly beautiful.
And well?
Dragons have always liked shiny things.

Jazz and Danny are adopted by the Kents. Danny is a good big brother to baby Clark, and Clark wants to do right by his older brother by putting him through college with the help of his new friend.
Only Batman has a no metas in Gotham rule. And Danny's a meta. Well, if Bruce meets Danny, he'll HAVE to change his mind! (Romantic shenanigans ensue where Bruce does infact meet Danny, and he does infact change his mind.)
