She’s sick and tired of being trapped in the Temple all the time. Of having nothing but meditation and the occasional supervised lightsaber practice to distract her from the way Rex has retreated, gone cold, professional and steely as though nothing ever happened (gone back to the way he hasn’t been since… for months, now). She wants to go.
“This isn’t a mission for learning,” Anakin spits out, gestures sharply. “You either do, or you die. And that’s not a risk I’m willing to share.”

Summary
The last thing Echo wanted to do was put more weight on Rex's shoulders, so they decided to leave with the Bad Batch in an attempt to recover from their time as a Prisoner of War. Then Order 66 happened, and everything changed. But maybe it will give Echo and Rex a chance to reconnect and rekindle their relationship.

Months after the Order, Rex learns from Ahsoka and one of her contacts that a trooper meeting Fives' description is alive somewhere in the galaxy; on one of five planets that is. He enlists the help of the Bad Batch to search for him, but can't bring himself to tell the others, especially Echo, who they're really looking for. Bonding, hilarity, and fights ensue.
