"Mel, approximately…how old is your mother?” Viktor finally manages to ask.
There's several beats of silence that follow once that question leaves him. It's deafening, just how quiet the room gets. Jayce turns from his seat while Mel gives him something of a thousand yard stare. There's a twitch below her eye. “...Why?” Unsurprisingly, her voice is drawn much tighter than it was previously.
Viktor avoids both of their looks, clearing his throat again as he goes back to spinning his pencil. “I'm simply curious.”
It's a bold faced lie.
He knows they know that.
God's, he's always been terrible at those.
Mel inhales. Slow, deep. As if she's fighting not to lose her last shred of mental sanity. She doesn't answer. “Viktor. Why are you asking about my mother?”

He loosens a blast at the chrysalis, letting in more light into the space. The pieces hum and hover around them like the destroyed pieces of a shattered star.
“Jayce, you need to leave—”
“I can't lose you!”
After the explosive events at his commune, Viktor is captured and taken prisoner by Noxus. Revived by Apex Shimmer, subjugated to experimentation and torture, Viktor is used to develop their weapons via his link to the arcane.
Jayce finds out but is faced with a choice: to finish what he started or to find a new recourse. No matter what he chooses, Viktor is always at the center of it all.

The same name? THE TEASE OF THE CENTURY! I love it so much. Neither have literally said "I love you" but expressed it in every action and thought <3 But this was basically the confession, the first admittence :] So sweet
God I love a good ending where they sail of to a better life. Its just such a beautifull image in my mind.
