Summary

Kakashi asintió, aunque su expresión dejaba claro que solo entendía una palabra por medio. Parecía una historia sobre Kurama, el tema favorito de Naruto. En realidad, el zorro había sido su tema favorito desde que empezó a hablar. Le había llevado un tiempo vergonzosamente largo darse cuenta de que la primera palabra de Naruto era, de hecho, el nombre del Kyuubi. Cuando se dio cuenta, confrontó a Kurama, quien parecía demasiado presumido para su gusto. Zorro bastardo. Al menos «mamá» había sido su segunda palabra, pero por poco.
En ese momento, había estado tan emocionada pensando que "mamá" era su primera palabra, sin comprender que había estado balbuceando "Ku-ra" durante más tiempo. No estaba segura de si Minato o Kakashi se habían dado cuenta ahora, y no iba a decírselo. Habían tenido un poco de competencia amistosa al ver qué nombre diría Naruto primero, y Kushina no estaba dispuesta a admitir que el maldito Kyuubi la había dejado en ridículo. Ya se habían reído bastante de ella, considerando que menos de 10 segundos después de decir "mamá", quedó claro que Naruto solo quería su atención para pedir ver a Sasuke. Había estado disfrutando del brillo de la "primera" palabra de su bebé, cuando él señaló vagamente en dirección al distrito Uchiha y preguntó: "¿Sas?". Luego preguntó por él como media docena de veces más.

Resembool no es un pueblo conocido por su calendario social, pero de los pocos eventos que tienen lugar a lo largo del año, la hoguera es sin duda el favorito de Pinako. Todo el pueblo se reúne y se desmelenan para una noche de celebración, aunque el motivo de la celebración se ha olvidado hace tiempo, y ahora es solo una excusa para beber y bailar toda la noche.
Fue en la hoguera donde Pinako convenció a Hohenheim de abrirse y conocer al resto del pueblo, y fue en la hoguera donde lo convenció de arriesgarse con Trisha. Ahora los observa mientras giran alrededor de las llamas con soltura, absortos el uno en el otro, sin prestar atención a las demás parejas ni a la música. Se alegra de que sigan unidos.

Y Husk no puede hacer nada más que observar como la estrella porno más famosa del infierno se levanta y se aleja con su libertad, millones de dólares, muchas joyas, algunos otros contratos del alma, un par de acciones de VoxTek, un par de escrituras y el cincuenta por ciento de su casino.

(Sin que Yusami lo supiera, los cuatro ANBU atrapados en el servicio de guardia jinchuuriki habían presenciado todo el evento, y debido a que los ninjas ANBU eran todos chismosos horribles, todo el cuerpo lo supo antes del amanecer del día siguiente. Sus simples actos de bondad la habían hecho agregar a una gran cantidad de listas, incluida la lista del capitán ANBU 'Civiles que vale la pena salvar cuando llegue el fin de los tiempos' , la lista del médico jefe 'Recibe atención médica gratuita de por vida' y la lista del Equipo Ro 'Proteger a toda costa' .
El último fue toda una hazaña, pues la lista tenía, en total, exactamente seis nombres. Uno era el Hokage, otro el mencionado jinchuuriki, y ahora el tercero era el de Yusami. Y quizá no sea patriótico mencionarlo en voz alta, pero más de la mitad del Equipo Ro, si se les obligara a elegir entre Yusami y su Kage, bueno...
Digamos que Yusami tenía más del cincuenta por ciento de posibilidades de salir airoso de esa hipótesis).
