“Nippy's hurt? Where is he, are you going to get him?” His son is injured, he needs to go home.
“Yes and I can't go, I'm commanding the squadron, I've gone all the way to the two star and they're refusing my leave! He's in the orthopaedic hospital by Sarah's. He's not eating Mav, it's been three weeks and he's refusing everything, they were tube feeding him but they won't do it anymore and he won't eat! Sarah says they've started him on a lost will chit!” Ice sounds utterly frantic.
A phone call at sea leaves Mav racing to get home, saving his son will mean finding a way to defy the rules that bind him as a claim, not doing so risks losing everything.
