他在他年轻许多的身体里醒来，在不死鸟之门事件结束的一段时间后。他保留了他所有的召唤兽之力，但现在他年轻、强壮、轻盈。并且依然拥有烙印。这一次，他发誓要利用自己的知识早点逃出去，做更多的事情，拯救那些他以前无法拯救的人。
但当他还在为军队服务时，他没想到自己会被派往沃鲁德。与正值壮年的军队指挥官特拉蒙交手。而且还被俘虏了。

“我们需要谈谈，”希德靠在克莱夫的房间门外，抽着雪茄，一如既往地潇洒不羁；屋内的克莱夫开门出来，看了希德一眼，平淡地留下一句话便走远了。
“我不认同你的想法。”克莱夫说，带起兜帽走下楼梯，黑色的披风逐渐没入翻滚的薄雪。
希德孤独地站在原地把烟抽完。天气寒冷，他的双腿像浸入冰水中，无法移动，又因长久的站立而失去知觉。石化的部位传来细细的刺痛，提醒他拉姆虽然被克莱夫拿走了，但诅咒并不会因此消失。他低低咒骂了一声，借助旁边手杖的力量小心地调整双腿的姿势，勉强把自己送进克莱夫的房间，重重跌坐在床上。希德仰面对着天花板，思考起他们之间首次出现的隔阂的重量。

Enjolras hates Grantaire. It’s a fact much like the one that the sun always rises in the east, or an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it.
They’re alone in the Corinthe together after a meeting, Enjolras scheduling the next one and Grantaire too drunk and in love to leave, when he notices it, the scent of budding heat on his Apollo.
Perhaps Enjolras doesn’t hate Grantaire as much as he lets on.

Summary
Grantaire has been making ballet shoes in a Parisian factory for the last three years. He does not like ballet, and he especially does not like ballet dancers.
Then, in strolls Enjolras, the lead dancer of the National Paris Ballet company.
Somehow Grantaire gets himself tangled up in the first ever social justice ballet troupe, and is surrounded by dancers at all times. He should hate it, but he can’t stop being distracted by a certain dancer’s charisma and unfairly pretty eyes.

“To woo me?” Enjolras repeats, “Grantaire, do I look like the swooning heroine of a 19th century novel to you?”

The shoes that did appear were scuffed, and soon followed by a pair of quickly descending legs. His neighbor moved with great haste, as was the source of the loud noises. The person’s face soon followed, though it was not facing Enjolras in any form of greeting and therefore alleviated his need to make polite conversation. Enjolras would have gladly let the man pass without word had the recognizable profile not startled sound from him.
“Grantaire?” He said, surprise perhaps making his voice too loud for the small space. It caught him in his quick descent, causing his foot to slip and nearly send himself to the bottom much faster than intended. Grantaire’s confusion was evident as he righted himself.
“Apollo?” He responded, removing his cap as if Enjolras were a schoolmaster likely to chastise him for it. His mood soured ever so slightly at the moniker. “Whatever has brought you here?”
Enjolras is perfectly content in his isolation outside of Amis meetings, but his peace is disrupted when he discovers that Grantaire lives only a floor above him.
