Summary
Lena is the owner of L-Records. Although solidifying herself as a powerful person within the music industry, she can never quite get away from the stigma of being Lex Luthor's sister. He was a famous rockstar in the early 2000's, before a slew of accusations and court cases left him hated and shunned from the music industry. The Luthor name is still tainted to this day, making it hard for Lena to connect to anyone except her longtime best friend and CFO, Sam. Kara is the timid assistant to Sam, best friends with Winn, L-Records' head producer. Kara always dreamed of being a musician, and started a band with her friends, Mike, Nia and Jimmy, where she goes by SUPERGRL. Sam forces Lena to join her at a bar downtown, claiming it's where all of the hottest underground bands played. Lena almost leaves, until a voice announces themselves and begins a song. Moved by the music, she shoves her way through the crowd and is stunned to find her best friend's assistant at the front of the stage, playing one of the greatest songs Lena had ever heard. Lena wants to sign her on the spot, and Kara finds herself suddenly thrown into a life of stardom overnight, made extra confusing by her growing feelings towards her ex-boss/producer.

Kara doesn't have much long to live. She decides to escape the hospital, her family, and her friends' sympathy. To her astonishment, she receives an answer to her ad. And three days later, she meets Lena in front of a camping car she secretly bought. A young woman wearing a large black hat who has only a big red bag as luggage, and who gives no explanation for her presence here.
This is how a beautiful journey begins, through meeting others and the discovery of oneself, that births joy, fear, friendship, and love, which breaks little by little Kara's walls.(Adaptation of a book, so not my ideas :)
