Summary
Soulmates gain power depending on how close their bond is, on top of the original bond. Marinette and Tim have a bond where whenever they sleep, they share a mindspace. However, since both get so little sleep on top of living on different sides of the world, they don't realize they have a soulmate. The bond activates when the younger soulmate reaches age 13. By that point, both or fully-fledged superheroes with caffeine addictions.
After a series of events, Tim is placed in a coma. That means, whenever Marinette sleeps, they have the ability to talk to each other. They get closer and start to gain their power.
The power? Indestructibility.
