Gem's team is one of the few that are able to survive their high-risk job of venturing into the wastelands and sifting through the remains of humanity to bring back something that could help restore the planet to what it used to be, livable. For the most part it's an unrewarding dead-end job for a company with dubious motives. Their lives and experience of their world are bound to change irreparably when the company they work for gives them a piece of cutting-edge technology to field test.
