    A series of one-shots surrounding my DC OC; Golden Condor. To give a rundown --- his real name is Eugene Amsel, and he is a notorious vigilante and a member of the Justice League. On command, he has the ability to instill fear into his enemies just by touching them or being near them. He is most prominently known as Batman's lover.

    This series was made to practice writing and also to study Eugene's character and his relationships with Batman, the Justice League, etc.

    It was no secret to anyone who knew him that Bruce struggled a lot to talk about how he felt. He had an uncanny ability to make others misunderstand what he meant. None of his children were spared that. He needed to talk with Tim and needed to talk in a way that would make Tim understand.

    He knew that he shouldn’t want to replace Tim’s own father but his heart so desperately wanted to keep Tim, his son, in his life. Well… the week was ending soon and Tim would be back so he should go and plan.

    As he put together words and made the message his phone pinged.

    Hey B. I’d like one more week to spend time with dad. Is that ok with you?

    Bruce read the words and they pierced him like a bullet. His hands shook, he mustn’t pressure Tim. He carefully typed out the message.

    It's fine.

    His heart ached so much.

    It’s not fine. I’m not fine.

    He wished to type.

    Bruce most likely cried and suffered emotionally when Jack Drake woke up and Tim went back to his biological dad.

    The cowl was little more than shreds held together by aspirations and a prayer. Which shouldn't have been that bad if not for the fact that the backup—this was the second cowl to suffer this fate on that day.

    Bruce stared at the two halves of the last cowl he had had in storage on the Watchtower in disgruntlement. This would not be an issue if he were in the cave–where he had plenty of replacements. Which didn't help the fact that the cowl in his hands was unsalvageable.

    --

    After his cowl breaks in a fight Bruce is forced to attend the debriefing with a domino mask instead. He comes to regret it.

So, when Superman and Wonder Woman schedule a meeting during the week that Jason Todd died, Batman takes exception to such an idea and refuses to elaborate, leading to the members trying to figure out why.
