Summary
Hibino Kafka and Mina Ashiro made a promise to one another after they lost their hometown to a monster: to eliminate all Kaiju and make the world a safer place so that what happened to them could never be repeated.
Hibino took that promise seriously and has stood by Mina's side as they rose through the ranks of the Defense Force. Getting turned into a kaiju isn't great.
