Craig had his emotions under control. He was logical. He was confident I'm his abilities and choices. When Clyde tried to look for ways he could possibly help Craig like he did to him, it'd be an impossible task. So when Craig is seemingly about to destroy his future over nothing, Clyde feels like it is his duty to intervene, no matter the potential risk of loosing his friend.
