Geralt probably expects Jaskier to slink off and wait in Caingorn until the Witcher calms down enough to be reasoned with. Well, bollocks to that. Jaskier can't be his interpersonal crutch anymore, not with an innocent Child Surprise awaiting Geralt's noble but emotionally crippled care. Geralt needs to meet him halfway on this one. ...A quarter of the way, at least. ...One apology. That's a realistic expectation for growth, isn't it? And if Geralt *means* it, and he's actually hated Jaskier all along...well. He's not going down to Caingorn, that's for certain. He'll take the long way back to Geralt's side.
