Summary
In 2025, best friends Ed and Stede are a week away from opening the flagship store for their joint fashion brand, Gentlebeard. Stede finds an ornate mirror in a new antiques shop, and purchases it for the store, despite warnings from a strange blond Scotsman.
In 1718, Ed and Stede are getting ready to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. The crew brings them an anniversary gift, an ornate mirror that they found on a raid, despite Frenchie's insistence that the mirror is cursed.
The mirror may not be cursed, but 2025 Ed and Stede, and 1718 Ed and Stede quickly learn that it is magic when they swap places.
There's just one tiny problem: there aren't any instructions for how to get home again.

Summary
“Ed?” he said tentatively. “What do you think?”
“Um…”
“Oh god, you’re shaking.”
“Yup. Yeah.” Ed was trembling head to foot. It was a lot of information to process, okay? And it wasn’t just a lot of information. It was potentially life changing information. Stuff that he had long since accepted he would never hear. And it sucked, but he was acclimated to that suckiness. And now here was Stede, throwing him either a lifeline or a fatal blow. He wasn’t sure which one yet.
“Why are you shaking, Ed?”
“Because I’ve been in love with you basically since we met, Stede. And you just said you were attracted to my sweat. I’m having a bit of a moment over here.”
---
Stede discovers what attraction feels like for the first time in his life (hint: it's Ed). Ed has a mini crisis about it, then a major crash out, and then the best sex of his life.

Summary
The sidewalk is a little less even here, built with large slabs of shale rather than the curated concrete of main street. He picks his way towards the park, admiring the older houses built here with stone foundations, and some with shale shingles on the roof.
And then he hears a strange sound, sort of electrical? He thinks?
He walks a little farther down and realizes the sound is echoing out from an old Victorian style townhouse that looks incredibly run down. The beeping continues as he draws closer. Intrigued, Ed pulls up his phone camera and starts recording.
----
Ed finds a strange house blaring Morse code out into the neighborhood. Is pandemic isolation driving him crazy, or is there actually someone sending messages by telegraph in the year 2020?

Summary
Just pixels, far as the eye can see. Pixelly sky and pixelly sea. Pixelly boats to sail on the endless squares of blue. Pixel people regurgitating pixel script to him, over and over and over again.
But Ed’s got an inkling, based on absolutely fuck all, that ‘Stede’ is not one of them. ‘Stede’ doesn’t feel like one of them.
(or: Ed is trapped in a pirate video game. Maybe Stede is too?)
