Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.
It began with the forging of the Great Rings, and it ended with the destruction of the One Ring in the fiery chasms of Mount Doom. Destroyed by hobbits, at the end of an era — but it was not the end of all. Not for those who remained behind. Arwen Undómiel, daughter of Elrond and Celebrían, became Queen of the Reunited Kingdom. Her story quickly became one of legend and myth, one of beauty and sorrow. Deeply tied to her mortal love, one that diminished her lifespan and turned it into one of sacrifice.
