Summary
The roar of Baxia's bloodlust fills Nie Mingjue's head and veins as his hands swing the saber in a way almost disconnected from his mind. It is primal, wild, terrifying. Omnipresent and palpable, even to others. But the others can only sense it while he swims in it; no other thoughts are permitted to wander in. And yet, this unwanted, distracting supposition continues to ebb somewhere at the periphery of his war-riddled brain.
Something is wrong.
-In a moment of clarity, Nie Mingjue decides to save Wei Wuxian. Now, he has to convince the clans partaking in the Burial Mounds siege to let them both go. And isn't telling them they're getting married the best way to do that? (It might be the only idea he has. Even Wei Wuxian thinks it's insane.)

The Sun Palace was a breathtaking sight that day. Hundreds of red lanterns adorned every corner, creating an evocative interplay of light as their reflections danced off the rare, expensive chandeliers hanging from the ceiling.
The guests crowded into the immense banquet hall and kept looking up, fascinated by the spectacle.
In any case, they were too excited to eat. After all, Wen RuoHan didn’t invite the entire cultivation world to his palace every day. This included the other four major sects and nearly all the smaller ones. The hall hosted at least a thousand guests.Furthermore, it would have been highly unusual for any sect leader, not just Wen RuoHan, to organize an event like this to introduce his mysterious third son.
