Summary

Rather than completing their mission, they bring Shadow home to Green Hills, where the Watchowski family attempts to create safety for a child who has only known experimentation and pain.

Then his eyes caught movement behind Knuckles.
A shadow. Long, jagged spines silhouetted by firelight, swaying with each deliberate step. Smoke curled around the figure as it approached, using an overturned car like a ramp, metal shoes hitting the car with solid, thudding force.
Sonic’s mouth gaped as another hedgehog stood before them, black with red stripes, a scowl and red eyes. He looked so… cool.
And strapped to his chest was– Sonic’s entire brain stopped.
“Is that a baby!?” Sonic shouted in disbelief.

Summary
Shadow and sonic the hedgehogs have been in a secret relationship for about a year somehow these two different hedgehogs fell in love despite their rocky history and sonic finally getting shadow to open his heart to him until all that came crumbling down when sonic met Sally Acorn and fell out of love with shadow and left to be with Sally since he wouldn’t have to hid a relationship with her or having fights because his partner is jealous if he hangs out with others besides their friend group
But what he doesn’t know is shadow is pregnant and alone and his trust issues is now worse then before after sonic’s betrayal

Rouge is sent on a mission to find a weapon that had been left abandoned in one of GUN’s bases. She drags Sonic along to find it, but neither of them know how to react when they discover that the “weapon” they’re meant to retrieve is actually a young, injured, terrified little hedgehog. All Sonic knows is, he can’t let GUN hurt this child again.
