    "What happened?" Worry taints her words as she looks over her lover, his skin flushed. Sam was unconscious, likely sleeping, given the steady rise and fall of his chest. Fingers pressed to his neck as Rowena kneeled by the couch, and she was worried at how warm he felt.

    "Witches. Got them both, but found him like this. They'd grabbed him, tied him up... what did they do, Rowena?" Her eyes had closed as she'd listened, lacing her fingers with Sam's and squeezing his hand.

    Standing, Rowena lays both hands over Sam's body, and her eyes glow violet as her magic draws to her, reaching out to Sam. The blood on his chest wasn't his, and it wasn't an attack. Rowena recognised the sigils that had been drawn but they were only a piece of it.

    As her hands lower, she gasps, her gaze dropping to Sam again. "He's been cursed, but I know how to undo it."
