Canon divergent where the majority voted to end the games at the last vote. And there was no bathroom fight scene/in the night fight.
Thanos angry that the majority voted to go home, lashes out at Namgyu. Forcing the other man to spend the night away from the rapper. What they don’t know is that will be their last interaction together until a year later.
In that year Thanos has paid off some debt and started playing small scale gigs again. But something feels missing in his life. He assumes it was the high he got from the mixture of the drug and the life and death games. No matter what he does it doesn’t return. Not until he spots a very familiar person.

Obanai and Sanemi have a close relationship that formed due to Sanemi needing to get over the death of Kanae. Obanai knows he’s just a stand in until someone catches Sanemi’s eye again. But he’s okay with it, this is the closest he’ll get to Sanemi and that’s fine. His unrequited feelings of love for the wind pillar won’t get in the way of their friendship.
After a conversation with Giyuu, Obanai starts to realize he doesn’t need to settle. But Sanemi throws a wrench in that plan.

Summary
Obanai had always seen the way Sanemi carried himself with all of his scars and admired that confidence and strength. He found himself staring at those scars in admiration of the possible backstories behind each one. The staring soon got out of control, as most things do. Obanai finds himself drawn to the wind pillar, captivated by his beauty he hadn't fully appreciated earlier.
Obanai had no idea how far gone he was for Sanemi until a man joins the pillars. Obanai watches as the new man seemingly steals Sanemi from him with the way they instantly hit it off.
The next morning, Obanai is woken up by a flower petal crawling up his throat.
