“Excuse me? Sir?” Wylan spoke softly, but it was somehow enough to gain the man’s attention.
“Well, hello there, gorgeous,” the man said, leaning a hip against the wall they were standing by. Wylan could feel his cheeks reddening at the words, clearing his throat as the man continued. “What can I do for you?”
“Well,” Wylan started, fidgeting a bit with his fingers at his coat hem. His forehead was starting to get warm underneath his blue beanie and the press of his red hair underneath it, the white puffball on the top weighing down on him. “I couldn’t help but overhear you at the counter.
