Now togheter in an unfamiliar enviroment, the siblings have to learn to rely on eachother if they want to overcome the most difficult of obstacles, talking about their feelings.

The Beheaded wavered, silent for a moment. His flame slowed before flickering erratically again, his body tensing under the Drifter’s touch.
“...Don’t look at me like that. I told you, I’m just thinking. There has to be some good thing to come out of this whole world-hopping hoo-rah-rah. Don’t you think?”
*My good thing is you.*

The Drifter wakes up to find that the Beheaded has wandered off elsewhere. When he finds him, the Beheaded tells him what's been on his mind, and it leads to a difficult conversation.
He never thought someone else would defy his acceptance of his early death.
a.k.a. the Drifter and the Beheaded process inevitable death, fear, and grief together.

Summary
The Beheaded has finally been sent home but finally is far from the right word. The empty space at his side aches fiercely.
With a view of the stars and his pet nuzzling for “his” hand, he can’t help but get reflective. He remembers a warm and soft moment he had had with Drifter. He grieves.
How, he wonders, does this hand feel compared to his old one when he pets the leghugger?
but he already knows how soft those pads are, how sharp but careful these claws can be. He knows.Aka- I turned my own screenshot from pre-driftcells brain worms hitting the mental towers into a stupid meme. Now I am turning that stupid meme into fucking angst in a short oneshot. I hope it kills my writer’s block and tears out hearts :)

Summary
The Beheaded wakes up to find the small place he’s found home to be strangely still. He’s on edge but not really worried until he finds a note from his missing partner that all but spells out that he needs to find them fast if he ever wants to see him again. He quickly decides to check the town center because he has reason to think that it’s connected to the fate Drifter was shown (and that Drifter has said he’s finally going to meet).
He really just hopes he makes it in time.
Meanwhile Drifter is certain that he won’t ever wake up again. He’s wrong.
Aka- these two still are in my brain! I wrote most of this weeks ago but decided to finally just post it as a birthday present to myself. As of now the first chapter is done, the second just needs reread and the third (and final planned) is about half way done. So hopefully not too much waiting for this one :)

After a horrid revelation of his future, the Drifter reconsiders the best way to lead his life after this amid the Beheaded's insistence that he live. And he makes some impulsive decisions that lead to revelations.
A.k.a. a completely self-indulgent fic on these two cuties because they have been haunting my mind.
