Do Not Question Night Vale. Cecil hears this often in his head, but he of course, does not question it.
Nor does he question the murky, fragile memories of his past, which he believes was spent in Night Vale, or the burning sensation of every swirling tattoo on his body when he begins to say too much, or the feeling that he's known Carlos, wonderful Carlos from somewhere before.
He questions none of this, because there is one rule, one rule that he is deathly afraid of for a reason he does not understand, a rule that echoes in his head if he comes to close to asking questions- do NOT question Night Vale.
