I've seen so many stories completely villainizing Celine, which I'm totally interested in exploring don't get me wrong, but I also disagree that that's how she is in canon. She's a lot more complex than that, I think. That being said, this ALSO isn't based on canon. This is Celine doing a better job at being the parent Rumi needed.
Also note that the first chapter is a prologue and not really in the style that the rest of the fic will be written in, it's just like that for atmosphere!

Summary

It's been ten years since Mira's spoken to anyone in her family and she's perfectly content to keep it that way. Then Mira's brother comes to Huntrix Tower with a formal request that might finally spark a change that's been long coming.
