Pansy had a plan. Simply avoid Harry and never have to face up to the pure embarrassment of trying to hand him over to the Dark Lord.
What she hadn’t bargained on was the supposed chicken egg she’d bought hatching a snake, scuppering all of her carefully laid plans with Draco’s insistence that he bring Harry over and get him to speak Parseltongue.
What she also hadn’t bargained on was liking it.

“Do I look like I speak Parseltongue?” Draco said. He cocked his head, as a thought seemingly occurred to him. A wide grin spread along his face and he turned towards her. “You know who is a Parselmouth though, right?”
Pansy narrowed her eyes at Draco’s faux innocent look. “No way, Draco; don’t even think about it.”
“Why not? I can get Potter to come round and give it a hiss. He’s only on desk duty today.”
“You know fully well why not.”
