Summary
She’d been a victim of his visions before, his mind traps, his illusions. Keenly, bitterly, she remembered the torment of his first proposal, how he’d even shapeshifted once into her brother, then cast them both out to sea again when things had not unfolded as he’d desired. He was a shapeshifter and a conjurer, but it was so much worse than that. The manipulation of her mind, of the very perception of reality, extinguishing logic, replacing rationale, until all there was, all that remained, was only the foundations of his manipulations beneath her touch.
It was terrifying.

WHAT A FUC**NG MASTERPIECE.
Galadriel is gorgeous as per usual and Sauron/Mairon/Halbrand/Annatar/whatever is a FREAK, the very own definition of treason, darkness, greed and libidinous. He’s a gather of everything of worst in the universe and STILL he’s hot af. They’re hot. This fic is hot. EVERYTHING IS SO GOOD! This is basically just porn with a bit of plot lol. But I do love the author’s perception and I think the dialogues are truly perfect.
Now to make things clear: I do not think this is romance, at all! Their story has never been about love but rather power. And whatever means to achieve it: manipulation, death and destruction. They are opposites, which makes it all so interesting, thinking they could never be together.
Anyways! This author is a favorite of mine, I just wish Galadriel could be more active (?) and dominant… but that’s just wishful thinking lol. -

It required a strangely intimate level of trust, assuming Draco wouldn’t willfully mistranslate her, that he accurately interpreted a conversational ebb and flow.
It was irritatingly fascinating too, having him focus so acutely on her every word, pause for a beat, and then spin her intentions into a different language. If Hermione allowed herself the moment of indiscretion, she might have described it as a rush. A completely inappropriate rush, but a rush all the same.
