Summary
This is my Supernatural finale fix-it. It takes place on Earth, because damaged people and queer people deserve to have happiness while they are alive. This is short and sweet, but it's how I've been imagining the end for myself for the past year or so, when it plays out in my mind. Caution: there is mention of a homophobic slur. This story is sad in a few places, but it has a happy ending and NO ONE DIES, cuz we've been traumatized enough. I believe this rendition of the end is canon through at least episode 15x18, and maybe 15x19. 15x20 doesn't exist.

Summary
Dean and Cas enjoy a mellow night just hanging out, when Dean asks a question about a snippet of a sermon heard during a hunt in a church, and specifically about the Christian belief of The Rapture and the End Times. Cas has his own ideas about what rapture is all about. Sweet, sweet lovin' ensues.

Summary
Dean and Cas take a moment, just the two of them, to relax under the stars on the side of a country road and have a couple of beers. Coincidentally, it also happens to be the night of the planetary confluence. There ALSO happens to be a deserted barn nearby. Cas gets a mischievous gleam in his eye, and Dean goes along with whatever shenanigans his angel has obviously planned. He just hopes his plans don't involve a nativity set or hanging out with a bunch of shepherds or anything along those lines. Dean and Cas have a history with barns though, so maybe this one will be good luck for them. Or at least, Dean is hoping he might end up getting lucky in THIS particular barn.

They say he can’t get over the death of his wife, you know. Such a beauty, so spirited. Amara was her name. So sad.

Summary
Dean has this awful, sickly, syrupy-sweet nightmare at what started as an usually scarce rate. The life of a hunter comes with a steady subscription to recurring bad dreams, so nothing about a nightmare tearing him from the sheets, sweaty and writhing at four in the morning is new. What is new, is how significant it quickly becomes.
or, Dean is incredibly confused as to why he feels like the only thing that saves him after a nightmare is a prayer or a smoke break.

Summary
Few areas in the world are subject to the polar night phenomenon, a period where the sun never rises above the horizon.
When Castiel Novak reaches out to the Winchesters for help, convinced that vampires are about to descend upon one such town during the upcoming polar night, the boys head up to Point Hollow, Alaska to clear the nest before night falls.
What was meant to be a three-day stay devolves into sixty-five days of bloodshed and darkness as resources dwindle and bodies start dropping. Overwhelmed by the calculated organization of the creatures and the size of their nest, it quickly becomes clear that there’s more to the ‘vampires’ than initially seemed.
They’re cunning, they’re ancient, and they’re powerful—and they’ll stop at nothing to be satisfied. But between the starving people and starving creatures, Dean manages to find solace in Castiel—who just might be holding a secret himself. A secret that is key to destroying the creatures and their master, once and for all.

Summary
"When Dean concentrates, he can still feel the dampness on his knees, the aching in his jaw, the taste of rubber. The other tastes too – of skin and salt and blood. Sounds: mattress springs, distant trucks, skin on skin, humming streetlights, swearing and grunting. He remembers some dateless, freezing night: warm skin, hot breath, murmured praises. Wiping his mouth, counting his money, walking home along the freeway, looking up at the stars.
(God was looking back at you then.)"Dean, sex, work, sex work, love, family, and god. Let's mix it all up and see what comes out, eh?

Summary
And finally, Dean thought about Cas.
What it would all mean to have Cas in his entirety, in every way imaginable. To have him sleep caressed and sun-kissed beneath early morning sheets, the weight of his fingers tracing Dean’s palm down peaceful corridors, his scent cloaked in Dean’s very bones. To have his warmth as comfort and his hands as a guide that slid over Dean’s skin with familiarity. No more tentativeness, no more skimming the edges and tracing the seams of their story.
Peace. He wanted peace. But with Cas back from the Empty with his memories shredded, and Jack nowhere to be seen, what would peace even look like? And, after everything, was it something Dean deserved?
