She watched the drone walk past her hiding spot in the ceiling. The drone was heading home after a day at work. This she knew because she had been watching the drone for the past week. She knew he was seriously overpaid in his frustratingly easy job. One of the lights in the dim hallway flickered and the drone she was watching cast an unconcerned, almost annoyed look at it. She looked up and down the hall one more time before jumping down, landing silently behind the drone on the cold metal floor.
Uzi Doorman lost her father a long time ago in an incident with the doors. Uzi terrorized the colony for a while before stumbling across the Disassembly Drones.

A city. A city that never slept. Not the city that never slept. Just a city, that never slept. Tall buildings reached for the skies, bright windows scattered along the sides. Lights flickered on and off in rooms as people went to sleep, woke up, and moved in front of their windows. Cars filled the streets, starting and stopping in an endless cycle of red and green lights. Streetlights bathed people walking in a warm glow. The clouds reflected the warm glow of the city, and beams of lights touched the heavens. Dark alleyways striped the city and small forums could be seen in the entrances of the alleyways. The smell of the city was both sharp and soft. It was dull and familiar. It was the smell of home. Her home.
