    Arthur rolls his eyes at his newly-promoted court sorcerer. “Get your feet off the desk, Merlin.” His friend scowls but does so. “And actually, we do. His reply arrived this morning. He’s sending Lord Meleagant, the Duke of Cameliard.”
    Merlin pauses, another grape halfway to his mouth. “Lord Meleagant?”
    “Yes, him and his son. I don’t know anything else, Lot was rather light on the details, but... Merlin, are you alright?” Merlin’s face has abruptly drained of colour and his hands are trembling slightly.

    Some old acquaintances of Merlin’s visit Camelot and his traumatic past comes to light.
