    Midoriya Izuku just wants to lead a quiet, peaceful life. This is foiled by the fact that a) he can see spirits, b) his good nature demands that he help anyone he sees in trouble, and c) he, by all rights, should not exist.

    Helping the heroes who have fallen victim to the new quirk-breaking drug is a terrible idea for many reasons, the first and most important being that he hates attention and avoids it like the plague. But he's the only one who can help, so he does.

    This is, Izuku decides as he breaks in, more trouble than it's worth.

    The worldbuilding is absolutely insane in this fic. And Midoriya Izuku is a giant ball of both mystery and Sass.

    (and yes, this should be definitely capitalized cause the way he roasts everyone in this fic is diabolical.)

    To put it bluntly, Izuku is a Sassy piece of shit who is Done with life, and it is fucking glorious. People not reading this are missing out big time.

    In lieu of answering, he asks, “What’s your name?”

    The girl scowls. “Maki.”

    “Maki,” he repeats, and it’s like a missing piece of his soul falls back into place. The record of his life before he fought the Six-Eyes brat is a long, impossibly white scroll of nothing -- but written on it in faint letters is the name of a child, a child with a delicate name that brushed the heavens, spun a prayer into letters; a name that began with an M, and it ended in i, too.

    “Maki,” he says again. “I think you’re my daughter.”

    God, GOD, I WANT MORE OF THIS TROPE SO BADLY. Force Sensative Han Solo is the Best and I truly can't find a lot of fics that explore this trope more, it's absolutely Tragic! *cry emoji* I will cling onto this headcanon with my life.

    Worldbuilding! Large cast of characters! Competent Bilbo! Study of cultures! The fact this is a freaking role reversal yet the characters all still feel like themselves!! I will never stop being impressed by this fic, it's fantastic!
