    Wen Lang can’t let Gao Tu leave without explaining himself. The conversation they had in the office went wrong. He can’t bear for Gao Tu to think that he doesn’t care for him. The only solution is to go to his apartment and talk.

    Wen Lang has taken Gao Tu for granted for to long, and even if it’s too late to fix things, he needs Gao Tu to know that he appreciates everything, that he cares. He needs to make sure that Gao Tu won’t leave his life forever.

    "I'm sorry, Mr. Shen." He apologizes, still not daring to look at him in the eye. His eyes sting, but he will not cry.
    "But you- the omega." He stops. "You are a–"
    He feels more tears come to his eyes, but he refuses to cry. He will not play the victim. He will not manipulate him.
    "I am that omega," He admits, his voice breaking, and dares to look back at him. His face is frozen between anger and betrayal. "I'm sorry, President Shen. I never meant for this to happen."

    “What is it?” His tone was clipped, businesslike, giving nothing away.

    Gao Tu stepped forward, placing the envelope carefully on the desk, aligning it with the edge of the blotter out of sheer instinct. His fingers brushed the leather surface for just a heartbeat longer than necessary before retreating. His voice, when it came, was calm, rehearsed—though inside, it felt like shards of glass were catching on every word.

    “My letter of resignation.”
