    Summary

    I had zero interest in Sherlock Holmes as a kid. In college, the adaptions that I watched only deterred me from the detective. It wasn't until October of 2023 that I finally decided to listen to some audio readings of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's original stories. At long last, I understood why he was so beloved.

    Originally, I had no intention of posting my short stories on the internet. Then, my favorite SH writer deleted all their stories without archiving any of them. Forgive me if I come off as melodramatic, but I was devastated.

    I've written stories out of passion, spite, and a mixture of the two. This is no exception.

    To whoever reads this description: please don't delete your stories. You don't know how much they mean to someone.

    Summary

    A long time ago, in a world far from what you'll ever know, there lived a boy. The boy could travel anywhere he wanted using TV screens but was very lonely. Also, in this world lived a girl who didn't really belong anywhere. She was very gluttonous, always starving for control and power.

    One fateful day, the lonely boy met the gluttonous girl. At first, neither one wanted anything to do with the other. As time passed, however, a friendship grew between the two of them. The lonely boy wasn't so lonely anymore. The gluttonous girl started to become not so hungry. Together, for the first time in what seemed to be an eternity, they were happy. Some would even say they were in love.

    But all of this happiness would fall apart when the gluttonous girl chose power over love. She betrayed the only person she ever cared for and fled to the sea, where a gigantic maw consumed her. As for the lonely boy, he was left inside a pulsing tower to wallow in his bitterness and sorrow. They say he's still there, sitting in an empty room, lonelier than ever before.
