But even now, he didn’t have the time to properly grasp his own hurt. He had a choice. That’s what Sonic had said as he held out his hand. To stand and go into the vast unknown or stay and bask in the fading light. Both something he could never have planned for, but an offer he can’t refuse. No more waiting around, it's time he made his own choice.
OR: An alternate ending that gives Shadow a second chance to make things right. But he doesn’t want to do it alone and reaches out.
