Viktor generally kept to himself, it was his second year of university and he still hadn't managed to make any friends, this was to be expected though, he didn't really try very hard.
He didn't really try very hard at anything for that matter—except school, that was. He wouldn't consider himself lazy, he just didn't care for himself enough to try, the only reason why he tried for school was to prove himself. No one had ever expected much of him, except his parents, but he knew how that had ended. He wanted, no, needed to prove to someone that there was a reason for his meager existence, a reason to all this suffering.

Viktor hates himself but slowly develops a friendship with Jayce Talis. Viktor develops feelings for him but his self-hatred makes him think it certain that Jayce could never feel the same way about him.
Jayce is worried about Viktor, he cares about him a lot. But not in a romantic way. He was straight. Right?
Very slow burn, very depressing, eventual happy ending.
