Stone has never been an attention seeker. But that doesn’t mean he won’t resort to something a little drastic when he’s denied it for so long.
It’s a simple thing. Slipped in amongst the routine maintenance he does on the badniks — ingenious machines of the Doctor’s own design, but that doesn’t make them without flaw. Without exploits.
After so much time with them, Stone knows this all too well. So he waits for his chance, slips his fingernails under the corner of a panel, popping it up and open to dip his hand into the wiring. It’s a quick thing, overriding sleep mode and safety protocols with a few deft movements, lowering the weapon strength and power.
It’s all too easy to trigger the misfire afterwards.
