Hera had to fight back a very undignified snort laugh. "Oh please, the sheer amount of favouritism you get outweighs any maturity you have"
Athena pursed her lips and looked to her father for assistance.
"She's not wrong" Zeus said with a laugh "You are certainly favoured, I'm not ashamed to admit that, it's because you have the most impressive achievements. Though I think it could be interesting to see who is right in practice."
"What did you have in mind?" Both goddesses asked simultaneously.
"Athena will play a game with her siblings, should they avoid arguments then Hera will... the pair of you are free to decide stakes on your own."
The two women nodded in agreement

Summary
I've seen a lot of Athena becomes a mortal AUs but they're all set just after god games which is reasonable but I thought it could be interesting to set one near the end of the Troy saga, how does Athena interact with Odysseus' crew? What caused this situation? How does Athena adapt to mortal life when she's in dangerous waters and not safe on Ogygia? What challenges will pop up on this journey?
I'm excited to write this.

Summary
Ares represents the good and bad of war, the bloodshed and terror but also the bravery and self sacrifice.
I'm a big fan of the poem remains so I figured I'd try my hand at rewriting it from the perspective of the god of war.
In my mind when PTSD started to become a major thing amongst soldiers it had to affect the god of war, because how else could he be the god of war if he didn't represent those left behind.
Somethings will have changed and somethings will be less effective but I think over all it should be an interesting read.
