To say that realizing the team members were willing to do anything for Bai Jiu was a surprise wouldn’t be entirely true. But realizing that their enemies or opponents, whom they had fought against, were also unable to harm him, and, in fact, were trying to make him happy, was an interesting discovery.
When they lost Bai Jiu while tracking a dream-eating demon, everyone panicked. Zhou Yuan Zhou immediately activated his tracking spell, hoping it would lead them to the boy. And it did.
It led them to Bai Jiu and the dream-eating demon.They were sitting together at a table, drinking tea and talking about the color of the demon’s scales. Zhou Yuan Zhou and Zhou Yi Chen exchanged knowing glances when they saw this.
Well, it seemed no one could resist Bai Jiu. The boy was just too sweet and innocent.

Zhou Yuan Zhou loved Bai Jiu. Especially when he could tease the boy. Especially when Bai Jiu came to him for any reason. Especially when he became his shield, when Bai Jiu trusted him enough to know that Zhou Yuan Zhou would always protect him.
Zhou Yuan Zhou would never admit it aloud, but Bai Jiu had become his weakness. He was willing to let the boy test on him the remedies that were supposed to harm demons, just to make sure Bai Jiu would have something to protect himself with. He didn’t mind the pain those remedies caused him; after their joint testing sessions, he could always go to Zhou Yi Chen, hug him, and complain about how his son tormented him, which always triggered the same embarrassed reaction from Zhou Yi Chen. Zhou Yuan Zhou loved it.
The demon always stood beside Zhou Yi Chen, hiding Bai Jiu behind their backs. In this way, he was sure that the people most important to him would be safe.
Bai Jiu was never supposed to know, but if anyone harmed him, Zhou Yuan Zhou and Zhou Yi Chen were ready to level the whole world. There was nothing more important than the boy’s safety.
