Summary
Dean doesn’t know what to say to that, so he leans over to take Cas’s face in his hands, and kisses him softly. “I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“Die, probably,” Cas deadpans, pulling away slightly. When Dean pouts, Cas leans forward again to capture Dean’s lips. Cas says, “Many times, actually.”
“Romance of the goddamn ages,” Dean says, biting back a laugh.

Summary
Dean eases Baby down the frontage road, trying not to look in the rearview mirror as his home gets smaller and smaller behind him.
He’s done this a hundred times. He’s driven down this road in the soft morning light, heading out to some little town in some distant corner of the country. This is a job like any other.
“It’s not like we’re never coming back,” Cas says from the passenger seat.

Summary
There’s a tag sticking out over the collar of the soft cotton, and it’s an easy distraction from Sam’s droning voice. Dean stares at it for a second before reaching over and tucking it back into its rightful spot, his fingertips brushing the back of Cas’s neck in the process.
“I have The Butterflies,” Cas interrupts Sam to announce loudly.
Dean startles back, and Sam stops talking, looks between the two of them in disbelief. Taylor continues to croon.
