    “...ro…Nero!” Hands grabbed hold of his shoulders, and soon, he was shaken.

    The nestling’s eyes grew wide, and he snapped out of whatever hell came over him. Nero was panting and looking around wildly before he heard his father calling out his name again. His eyes finally met Vergil’s once more, and he saw that his father’s mask had crumbled slightly.

    “What…What were you looking at?” Vergil asked, confused. He looked over to where Nero had been looking. Nero followed his gaze and saw that the bench was empty.
