Two idiots in love who finally stopped being idiots about it, only to accidentally adopt a kid in the middle of a war. Now they have to figure out how to be a family while also dealing with overprotective elven kings, curious hobbits, and the minor matter of saving Middle-earth. Found family, complicated in-laws, and all the messy feelings that come with choosing love in dark times.
For those looking for Thranduil / Bard, they are heavily mentioned, but by the time The Lord of the Rings is set, Bard is gone from this world; you are getting Thranduil's memories at best, and he, himself, does not show up until MUCH later in the story. <3

Summary
Levi was a talented pilot, known for his outstanding record and brash attitude. Several years ago, he left the Tokyo Shatterdome suddenly, leaving his partner- Erwin Smith- alone.
Now he makes his return to the place, and the man, he once called home. It's humanity's last chance, and even if Levi wanted nothing to do with Erwin and Tokyo ever again, he knew he had no choice but to come back.

“I could take away all of that suffering, the sorrow, the pain, the fear, the guilt,” his free hand pressed against Levi’s chest, “I could remove all of that and exchange it for the death you’ve been pleading with your non-existent God for, I could give you more than you’ve ever dreamed up,” his voice gave way to promises as much as his words did.
“You would live an eternity being lavished with love, holding more power than you could ever possibly know, all you must do is ask,” the man whispered, his piercing eyes somehow softening into something gentle and welcoming.
“What do you say?” The man asked, his enchanting voice dropping to a whisper.
Levi’s eyes traced over the vampire’s face, his piercing eyes, his strong jaw, his soft lips. He considered for a moment, the option to leave behind all of his suffering laid before him, the embrace of a lover already waiting to welcome him with open arms into his new life. Before he could think long enough to consider the potentially negative consequences, he breathed out a delicate word, almost a plea.
