And that’s how her two best friends become her roommates. The script assistant, the model and the bartender. It sounds like the beginning of a shitty joke.

It comes out croaky, “I need help.”
He doesn’t get her at first, the hallway is dark and he can barely see her through the lack of light. Monotonously, he’s plainly saying, “Thought I already did that.”
A flush rinses over Lexi’s face and she’s unable to say anything, unable to ask, to think about her actions beforehand. She just wants his help; extinguish it, kill it- the way she wants his touch.
