    When they task him to kill the crown prince known as Mydeimos, he accepts it, even knowing the rumors of Mydeimos being immortal.

    Rumors are just rumors, and Phainon kills Mydeimos, succeeding in his task.

    At least, He was pretty sure he killed him..
    If not for the fact Mydeimos himself shows up in Okhema demanding for his assassin's hand in marriage.
