“When has God ever been fair?” Wooyoung mumbled, thinking about his lack of wings. Yunho turned to him, his eyes softer than before, but the tension still lingered in his shoulders. Wooyoung scooted closer to the other angel, sick and tired of the distance between them. So what if another strand of his hair turned black as a result of it? Yunho accepted his presence by wrapping an arm around his shoulders.
“I wonder what might happen if they eat from the tree.”
Yunho’s eyes darkened, his expression unreadable.
“One day it will happen.”

~~~Wooyoung's new job begins with him grabbing his boss' hand, when he's been told to never, ever touch him. That turns out to be the first of many fuck-ups.
Not long after, he's started a mutiny in Hongjoong's ranks. And gotten slapped in the face. He thinks he really shouldn't fall for his short, sadistic, bully, tyrannosaurus boss. After all, Hongjoong can't be touched and Wooyoung is an affectionate idiot. Unfortunately his heart, his gut and his dick are all in agreement that fucking up isn't so bad, when punishment lets him get his knees on Hongjoong's floor.
~~~This story is also called Wildflower because, like wildflowers, both men have managed to grow despite harsh conditions, fragile and strong at once. Injuries more duct-taped-together than healed, they're too unconventional for most people, but might be just unconventional enough for each other.

Hongjoong’s lips turn downwards, and his eyes fall to Wooyoung’s bare feet.
He shifts, and tucks them under his legs.
Hongjoong’s eyes move to his rain-sodden tail, scraggly and wet, and Wooyoung holds back the urge to hide it away. He holds back the urge to find a pile of blankets and hide all of himself away.
He's alone, he gets it. He's barefoot and soaked to the bone from the rain, okay. But he isn't pitiful. Nothing about him should be pitied.
