Summary
What started out as a joke quickly turned into something more devastating.
None of the Hermits were excited for this exchange program, in honesty it sounded stupid to force them out of their well comforted school and home. Scar's friends weren't exactly happy he was the one picked for their social experiment either.
It ended up leading to a rabbit hole of a missing person's case, a teacher's suspicious death, ghosts, and a boy who adamantly refuses to where his uniform.
Scar didn't expect to uncover a cold case when he changed schools.
Or: A combination of the YHS lore where the hermits are able to intervene and help Grian.

Summary
Scar pulled up his chat history with Grian one final time. Each of his messages were still lacking replies. Each still completely unread.
"No." Scar said sternly. "I'm coming with you."
Pearl seemed surprised by his reply, but she made no objection.
"Xisuma?" Scar said, holding the comm up to his ear once again.
"Scar, what is going on? Why are you and Pearl still there?"
Scar didn't answer his question, he only kept talking. "Cub owes me a favor. Tell him to take care of Jellie while I'm gone."
Before X could say anything back, Scar had hung up. He looked back up at Pearl, a strong feeling of determination settling in his bones.
"I'm not jumping to Season 10 yet. Not unless it's with Grian."
Pearl nodded, understanding him perfectly. "Then let’s go find him."

Or, Scar wakes up the morning after Secret Life ends to find that Grian is missing. On top of that, despite being the winner, his memories of all the past games haven’t returned to him. Him and the other previous winners of the traffic games suspect something is up, so they all hatch a plan to get Grian back and end the cycle of death games once and for all.

Summary
Grian was remembering how much he hated meetings.
But it was fine.
He just had to suck it up.
“–if I may introduce,” Scar’s voice filtered away from Grian’s ears as the doors opened, a figure stepping out.
Grian wasn’t sure if he was seeing things again once the light hit the figure. Maybe it was from oxygen deprivation because he certainly wasn’t breathing when the figure stepped in.
“Mr Croesus!”

With the departure of a council member, a new one must step in, especially with the rising tensions growing.
Only Grian seems to recognise the stranger.

"Or you offer up your body as payment. Anytime I want you, anywhere I want you. And as long as the agreement stands you get an unlimited supply of rockets. You can stop anytime and go back to being a normal customer. But I do hope you accept and that we'll start a long and thorough business relationship."
