I’m no one, y’see. Not really anyone worth a lick of anythin’. It was luck more than anything, me surviving that first trip with my head on straight. Luck that I met folks kind enough to help me do what needed doing.
But I guess you can’t call it luck that you found me after. That you came lookin’ for me across maelstroms and rainbows.
or, a look at the moment things get official for a particular prairie girl in Oz...

"Alrighty, Launchpad! Who's the lucky person?"
"Penny!"
"Oh?" you say, because you're a bit thickheaded sometimes. "What's their last name?"
"I dunno if moon people have last names!" he replies, just as enthusiastic.
"Oh," you repeat. "Penny Penny." The gear slips in your hands, which have gone from fine-tuned fixing machines to chunks of wood with feathers. You scramble to reaffirm your grip. "That's, uh... congrats, Launchpad. I'm happy for you."

Summary
Louie isn’t entirely certain when he first notices. Maybe it’s one of those sharpie things Uncle Scrooge keeps telling him about? It’s hard to differentiate between what is “super cool and sly” and “an utter con and illegal, Louie.” so he just kinda tries not to think too hard about that part.
Della has a metal leg. He knows that. It’s kind of hard to miss; the once pristine wooden floors on the mansion are becoming scuffed and scraped from her dragging it when she’s angry or tired or just wanting to piss Uncle Scrooge off. Once, when they got into an argument at the table, she had unhooked it and chucked it at Uncle Donald. This is all fairly standard procedure.
But there’s this screw. It’s always half out. It’s bent. And it’s getting wiggly from the rough landings. He especially sees it when Della is bored, since she has a habit of fidgeting with it. And maybe it drives him up the wall a bit.
It’s logical, alright. He’s just being sharp. He’s not a worrywart like Uncle Donald.

Summary
You're shoulder to shoulder with Webby in her little bathroom, getting ready for bed. Webby pastes her toothbrush with more enthusiasm than is ever really necessary while you pin your hair back to wash your face. You use a damp cloth to wipe off your eye make-up, and in the mirror, while she pretends not to watch you with tiny, newborn stars in her eyes, you can see it happen on her face. Her eyes move from your face to your wrist, and her toothbrush slows, and her eyebrows crease, and she goes very still.
You're not wearing your friendship bracelet, which makes sense, because Aunt Magica made you throw it away. It's probably collecting algae at the bottom of the bay, or it's giving a particularly stupid fish a very bad case of indigestion.
“Uhm,” you say, caught empty-handed.

Webby makes you want to be a better person. You haven't really been one, up until now, but it's kind of an earth shattering concept that you haven't had much of a chance to be any kind of person at all, full stop, let alone a good one.
(Lena takes stock of her situation and makes some important personal choices.)

Summary
She must have done something wrong—her posture or her eyebrows, perhaps—because the girl looked at Wednesday strangely, likely surprised. The girl had said something, but Wednesday failed to listen. She ignored her, feeling horribly fragile in her bones, and went quickly to bed. Even when she hid herself under her covers, pressed the heels of her palms to her ears, she could still hear the persistent sniffles of her roommate. The roommate was trying to stifle them, but she was failing miserably enough that Wednesday had to react. In the dark of the room, the colorless-colorful half-and-half splay of light flattened across the floor like ghosts stretched thin, Wednesday lifted her blankets off and planted her feet on the hardwood. The sniffles stopped immediately.
“Enid, I will take my typewriter to your head if I hear a single hiccup come from you again.”

Or: Wednesday feels oddly compelled to make Enid feel better, but her solution brings unprecedented circumstances
