Summary
Peter touched his unmarked scent glands. His frail, dirty hands itched with the need to nest. After a few moments he gave in, dragging the blanket to the corner of the room so two sides of his nest could be the wall.
He shivered.
He was so cold, most omegas were, but most omegas had hundreds of blankets, and an alpha to keep them warm. He shuddered at the thought of Skip in his “nest”.
One day, maybe he’d have an actual alpha.Little did he know it would be that day….

From the author: " Written for this prompt on the Avengers kinkmeme:
"A 'Tony gets his arc reactor forcefully removed' story, because that's never been done before, amirite?
"I'd like to see one of the Avengers casually removing the arc reactor for something (presumably something important enough to do so without asking, but definitely not important enough that they'd consider risking someone's life for it). Because none of them were ever told what it really was. They assume it's just a power source for the suit.
"Tony, though, honestly thinks they all do know what it's for, and thus is horrified and betrayed. And they all learn the hard way just what it is as he lays there dying by their hand (and then fix him in the nick of time, of course).
"Bonuses:
"- Much comforting afterward.
"- He's suited up at the time. And so they take even longer to realize something's wrong, since him collapsing when he's wearing a suit they just deactivated is not particularly concerning.
"- Steve is the one who does the removing." Pretty much does what it says on the tin."

Summary
Podfic for "These Wings Were Made to Fly," by athletiger. Recorded for PoTS Stony Stocking 2019.
Steve’s heart ached in pain, and his eyes burned with unshed tears. The first words that came out of his mouth were hoarse and raw. “What’s wrong with my wings ma?”
His ma wasn’t happy that his translucent wings turned to something colorful when he finally came of age for it to molt; she looked terrified when she looked at them. He knew that, with the way Sarah looked at them, his wings weren’t something to be proud of, no matter how beautiful he initially thought they were.
Sarah slowly walked over to him, trying to mask her fear and her sadness, coming up to hug him. But he noticed that that hug was slightly more impassioned; she was drawing away from him.
“Black wings are bad luck,” she said into his ear. “They remind people of death. Don’t ever show anybody your wings.”

Steve lets out an exasperated huff. “It’s just, I can’t shave.” It’s such a small thing to be upset about, and yet here he is, fighting the urge to tear his bandages just to look clean-shaven again.
One glance at Tony shows that he’s surprised by Steve’s admission, eyes now fixed on the days-old scruff covering the bottom half of Steve’s face.
(In which Tony helps Steve with shaving, and the close proximity leads to so much more than either of them anticipated.)
