Sitting up in bed, Majima lit a cigarette. To his right, Kiryu lay on his stomach, sheets bunched around his hips, face smooshed into the pillow. More relaxed than Majima had ever seen him, but still not yet quite asleep.
“Yer a lot more gentle than I was expecting.”
Kiryu turned his head to face Majima, a small smile on his lips. “That bad, huh?”

Summary
Majima Goro shows up, unexpected, on a random Tuesday evening, cursing as his suitcase hits a wayward rock on his way down the unsealed Okinawan dirt road. It’s Haruka that hears him first: “Is… is that Uncle Goro?” she says in disbelief, and Kiryu can’t run to the front gate fast enough.
Kiryu tries to arrange his face into a stern look of disapproval, because — well, it was kind of rude to not even send him a text beforehand — but the sight of Majima in a tacky Hawaiian shirt (unbuttoned, obviously) and flip-flops is such a treat he doesn’t quite manage to pull it off.

It's Kiryu-chan's birthday! Well, technically it's the night before his birthday, but once midnight strikes, that makes it official. Right? Seems logical enough in Majima's mind... which is where we will spend the duration of this story.
Despite the occasion, Kiryu seems less than happy, and Majima makes it his goal to figure out why. It's yer birthday, Kiryu-chan! Why not do something you've never done before? Something fun! The last place Majima expects to wind up is the lobby of a love hotel, trying to land Kiryu some sweet sweet birthday sex. Even worse, despite having asked for this, Kiryu seems less than enthusiastic about any of the cute girls trying to chat him up in the bar.
What kind of women does Kiryu like, anyway? What kind indeed...
