Life seemed so much more difficult to deal with nowadays, at least for Zane. After the lodge, he tries to connect with the others on the street, and to be a better man than he was before, but doing so is such a daunting task. At least he has a friend to help him through it; one with pink hair, a kind smile, and a beautiful soul. What he didn't expect was his heart to beat so rapidly when she grows closer, but is it worth destroying this wonderful friendship?
Kawaii-Chan is becoming more and more anxious, confused, but giddy as she comes to realize her dear friend Zane may be the one who can finally see her for who she is, without shame or disgust. But is the person underneath the cute facade worth knowing? Or is she doomed to ruin yet another relationship?

Loid met her gaze. Yor wondered what her face was doing, that he was taking so long to answer. “To you, I am Loid Forger.” Why did that hurt more than if he’d struck her? “And to Anya,” he said, some gentleness finally coming into his voice, “I am Loid Forger. Her father. And you are her mother.” Yor stared at him, now certain her devastation was plain on her face.
When Yor learns of a plot to kidnap Anya, she returns home to find Loid handling a gun with expert skill, and Anya already taken. After that earth shattering day, in rallying around Anya, Yor and Twilight face a time of uncertainty where choices are made, long-kept secrets are shared, and precarious trust becomes unassailable intimacy.

Summary
Kawaii Chan won’t stop bugging Zane. She texts him late at night, trying to be more friendly and Zane finds her irritating. She continues to confide in him about Damien and even her own worries about Zane’s love life. She convinces him to get on a dating app, showing compatibility with people around him and it’s all taken for laughs until a certain match comes up.
Zane’s feelings battle within his head as he tries he’s best not to fall for a taken woman, even when all signs lead him to her.
(A rewrite of an old orphaned work of mine :P)
