Summary
Just when he thinks things couldn’t possibly get any worse, he blinks and the Red Hood is standing right in front of him. He blinks again, hoping the image will disappear but it doesn’t. Jason Todd is still there. And then he’s bending down, moving closer to Tim. Tim flinches, trying to move away. Hood jumps back, startled, then slowly moves his hands up and takes off his helmet. If Tim didn’t know any better, he’d think he looked hurt.

Basically Tim gets dosed with a fear toxin that brings back some of his not so great memories, specifically the Red Hood beating the ever living shit out of him. So he's not that happy when the same Red Hood is the one to rescue him.

Summary
Stiles is ten when he saves the Hales from their burning home and Derek from a wolfsbane bullet, and this establishes a pattern that seem to continue indefinitely.
"Then he's facing a burning home, and he wraps the hood of his sweatshirt around his mouth before he pushes the door open and steps inside. There's Mr. Hale asleep - he hopes asleep - on the couch, next to - Stiles thinks that's his brother but there are so many Hales, who can keep track. He rushes over and starts shaking him, can see the rise and fall of the man's chest so he knows he's alive, but he's not waking up.
He shoves away his hood so he can shout, "Mr. Hale! You have to get up, there's a fire! Mr. Hale, get up!" Nothing, he's not even twitching, both of them taking in deep even breaths like they're having the most peaceful of rests, and Stiles is going to cry. "Wake up, wake up, wake up!"
There's a moment, where all Stiles can hear is the blood rushing in his ears and not the roar of the flames or the creak of wood, then with a violent, silent pop it's all back and both of the men are gasping awake, eyes open and jumping to their feet. "Series

Summary
Tim knew what he was signing up for when he decided to (kind of) single-handedly prevent an emotionally repressed and incredibly depressed man from ending his life after his second son died.
He knew that he would need to make sure that Bruce ate his meals, drank some fucking water, and didn’t nearly kill every villain he had the displeasure of facing night after night.
What he didn’t expect was the amount of times Tim had to pull guns out of Bruce’s mouth.

Or: Tim saves Bruce from ending it all by pretending to be Jason, and none of the ‘Batkids’ ever found out about it.

After a secret peak lord meeting, it is decided that Liu Qingge must accompany Shen Qingqiu to a temple. His tendency to get attacked, poisoned, plotted against, or all three of those at the same time is getting to a point where they have reached out to a temple to see if they can lessen his terrible luck. With Liu Qingge escorting him, they reasoned, Shen Qingqiu should be safe.
Liu Qingge should have known that with Shen Qingqiu’s luck, it couldn’t have been that easy.

The Riddler halts. Pauses.
“What the fuck, dude?” He finally exclaims, breaking all melodramatic pretenses and slamming his hands down on the table, “Either listen to the goddamn riddle or let me kill you so we can get this exchange over with!”
Peter nods, “Sorry, sorry, my bad on that one. I finally remembered the word I was thinking of. Here, let’s make a deal this time - cross my heart I’ll keep it - so if I can’t solve your riddle you get to…” Peter gestures, leaving it open ended, and the Riddler seems to perk up.
“Kill you in a blaze of glory,” he finishes, primly, and the melodrama returns as he crosses his legs and re-steeples his hands, “And if you win? I must be fair, after all.”
“Uhh… would you mind telling me where I am?”
OR
Peter's greatest enemy is time management and also maybe the hoard of superheroes that are crawling all over Gotham.
(The Amazing Spider-Man version of Peter Parker - don't have to watch the movies to understand, but there are references to the films.)
