“Got somethin’ on ya mind, Sixer?” Ford turned and saw Stan who was walking over with two mugs of steaming hot coffee, passing him one. Ford took it gladly, cupping it in his hands for comfort, taking a deep breath of the rich brew before mumbling his thanks. “Just, old wounds still fester,” he shrugged his shoulders and glanced at the shifting colours of day into night as Stan leaned against the rails.
Stan could see the flicker of sorrow in his brother's eyes, knowing the weight that still hung heavy in his chest. He snorted and elbowed him playfully. “Remember when we were kids an’ I’d get scabs? You’d always tell me to leave them alone or they’d never get better, gotta start takin'; ya own advice smart guy.”
