Summary
It was no secret that the two had an unusual bond. If you were to ask anybody they would tell you that the two had the best relationship at camp, and Washington had a strong bond with all of his aide-de-camps. Only theirs being different from all the others. At points there would be rumors going around about the two that would get such down very quickly as many believed that Washington saw him as a son because the man had no children of his own other than his wife’s children who were his stepchildren.
